7 Months!
-Rolling over both ways: Katelyn has finally mastered rolling over both ways. She rolled to her tummy for the first time at night (heart attack for mom and dad since she used to not know how to turn her head to breathe! She has since learned, thankfully!)
-Food: She LOVES sweet potatoes. Everything else, she'll eat a little of and not be too excited for more (unless it's mango). I often use mango or sweet potatoes to mix a little in with the other veggies just to get her to eat them. (this is how she got to love green beans and we're in the process of trying to help her at least tolerate peas)-Sleep: She has learned to sleep through the night! (Sometimes). It's not an every night occurrence, but when it happens, we fully enjoy it! She goes down around 7 and often wakes up somewhere between 4 and 6 to poo and eat, and goes back to sleep until 7 or even 8 somedays!
-Kicking: Oh the kicking! This little one LOVES to kick those legs and HARD! Especially on the changing table or in the crib. Sometimes, we lay a sleepy baby down and she wakes herself up to kick. (See video) And boy is she proud of herself for it! Giggles and huge smiles often come with the kicks.
-Self Soothing: It has happened!!! Katelyn has learned to self-soothe! Sometimes it comes with a little crying, but often, she lays down awake and rolls over to soothe herself. I also have her sleep with a breathable blanket so she can play with that and cover her face all she wants and I don't have to worry about her suffocating. I think these things combined together has led to the sleeping through the night.-Chunkers!: Katelyn is now in the process of outgrowing her 9 month clothes and is 20.2 lbs! Growing girl!
-Babbling: Katelyn has gone from just "Hmmmmm"s to "mamamama" and once in a while a "Ba" or a "da". We're still working on dada ;) She often says the word mama but I do not believe she knows the meaning quite yet :)
-Warmth: Katelyn continues to love being warm. The warmer she is, the better she sleeps and the happier she wakes up.
