4 & 17 Months

Oops, never posted this month.  It's been a very busy month! 

Luke- 4 Months

-Swaddling no more- he gets mad until he can get out

-Sit-ups: If you lay him reclined, he'll do some crunches to get to sitting up so he can play with his feet.  

-Still a large boy.  Over 17 lbs.

-Not sure if we've hit the infamous "4 month sleep regression" or what but this child is getting up every couple of hours for the past week.  He's still putting himself to sleep though. I always lay him down awake (unless he happened to fall asleep nursing which doesn't happen often)

-We finally have fallen into a somewhat predictable schedule!  It's so nice to have an idea of what's coming and when he'll need to sleep.  short Nap around 9, long nap around 11:30. short nap around 3, and a short nap around 6.  to bed at 8.

Katelyn- 17 Months

-Everything is a microphone.  She loves imitating daddy at church

-I saw my baby girl more sick than I've ever seen in my life... Ear infections.  The antibiotics they gave her didn't work and they became worse.  The new stuff made it better and we're now on the mend.

-Brushing our teeth each night

-A new word:  "bana" for banana.

-And the best of this month?  Someone has decided to start potty train herself?  Katelyn now sometimes tells us she needs to use the bathroom by pointing to the bathroom and saying "peas peas" (please) or we catch her pushing and ask if she wants to use the toilet.  She always nods and is excited to head there.  We only do it with #2 so we're still wearing regular diapers and I'm not planning on officially potty training until the summer but we do a big celebration everytime she goes on the toilet.
